Thus, we strive to make our experiences beautiful, personalized, and meaningful for all. Just because someone has a diet restriction or preference doesn’t mean it should be harder for them to find their next meal. That is why we created Yumaroo, so people can spend less time searching and more time exploring foods.
CEO & Founder
The inspiration for Yumatoo came while I was a college interning in a new city. One of my fellow intern friends was a pescetarian and another was a part-time vegetarian (whatever that means).
It took us forever to find a place to eat! It was so bad that those in our friend group that didn't have a specific diet gave up searching for places because anything we would suggest didn't have enough variety or appetizing options for our friends with diets.
And that was when I came up with the idea of curating restaurant meals based on diet restrictions.
I really love everything. But my all-time favorite is a Vietnamese dish called Bánh Cuốn. It's a bunch of steamed rice crepes filled with pork, mushrooms, and shrimp topped with fried onions.

I am somewhat of a foodie. I have always been the leader when it comes to organizing where to eat. Though it was always a frustrating challenge to find restaurants that fits everyone’s diet. When I heard about Yumaroo, I was instantly excited because it solves a problem that wastes a lot of time and solves a problem that most face.
My favorite food has to be pho, it’s my favorite comfort food, especially on a rainy day. It has always been my go to meal especially when it’s filled with chicken and veggies!
I wanted to work with Yumaroo believing it has the potential to connect people to not only they food can eat, but also with the food they want to eat. Eating food should be something we enjoy rather than just a necessity in life. With Yumaroo, it may very well be able to do that.
My favorite type of food is sushi, and I’ve always been a sucker for spicy tuna rolls.
